Learn to create abstract collage art with Nina

Ever fancied trying your hand at abstract art but worried your drawing skills are not up to it? Collage is a fun way to make art without needing to paint or draw, that soon becomes addictive. Local mixed media artist, Nina Faresin will inspire and guide you through some simple techniques to start your journey, looking at mark making and composition so you can play around creating your very own artworks to take away.

Can I do this class?

This class does not require previous experience.

The workshop will take place in our beautiful shop and studio space in Beeston. The studio has an accessible entrance and tables at different heights. Please let us know if you have specific accessibility requirements.

What’s included?

• Light refreshments
• All your papers, mediums and mark making tools, scissors and glue are included. The class shouldn’t be too messy, but don’t wear your best clothes. If you have some particular papers/images you would like to include, please feel free to bring them along, as long as you are not too precious about cutting them up.

What do I need to bring?

• Yourselves.

How do I get there?

Our address is 96 Chilwell Road in Beeston, NG9 1ES.

There is parking on most of the residential streets around us and a car park a little down the road, too (Chilwell road car park 21 Chilwell Rd, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 1EH). You can also access us via tram– the tram stop is a few doors down from us on the same street (Chilwell road tram stop via the green line that goes between Hucknall and Toton lane). Directly outside of our shop is the Ellis Grove bus stop which is accessed by the buses listed here.
