Christmas card lino printing workshop with Deanna Midnight

Join Dee for a laid back introduction to the world of lino printing. In this Christmas edition, you will be able to design and print your own Christmas card design, enabling you to walk away with a Lino block that you can use to print as many personalised and sustainable Christmas cards you like.

During this Lino printing workshop, you’ll learn how to compose and carve an image out of lino, and how to use various carving tools to get different effects on your lino block. For those who have done lino printing before, there is also the opportunity to try your hand at either a multi block or reduction print!

By the end of the class, you will have produced at least two prints of your image, on two different types of card or paper.

Can I do this class?

Anyone who is able to hold the carving tools is able to do this class. For those who struggle with grip strength we also have softer lino available, and can show you ways to adapt the tools that might make them easier for you to hold.

This class requires no previous experience.

The workshop will take place in our beautiful shop and studio space in Beeston. It has an accessible entrance and tables at different heights. Please let us know if you have specific accessibility requirements.

What’s included?

• Teas, coffees and cakes (please let us know of any dietary requirements upon booking).
• All tools and materials.

What do I need to bring?

• All you need to bring is yourself as all materials are provided. Although, it is recommended that you don’t wear your best clothes; the inking process can get messy!
