Saturday 27th January
1pm-4pm
3 hour class with 10 spaces only
Ford & Guy, 96 Chilwell Road Beeston, NG9 1ES
Come and enjoy an afternoon of creative fun making your own Terrazzo tray or pot with Laura, founder at dottie + olive using Jesmonite. Jesmonite is termed as an eco resin as it’s free of voc’s, solvents and is water based, think of it a little like a concrete or cement but with way more possibilities. It’s super easy and quick to work with so you will be able to take your dish home with you on the same day.
During the workshop you will:
- Learn how to create your own terrazzo chips in your chosen colours
- Measure, mix and cast your own oval tray with your terrazzo mix
- Sand your piece to reveal your gorgeous terrazzo design.
- Enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz
- You will also receive some concrete wax and a bamboo cloth to take home so that you can seal and shine your piece the following day.
You don’t need to bring anything with you as all materials, tools and products will be supplied (please note, Jesmonite can be a messy craft so don’t wear your best clobber).

I couldn’t reccomend this workshop with Laura more. A really fun, informative, well paced session with amazing results. Laura is so knowledgeable and helped each of us create a piece we were delighted with. Laura guided us through mixing colours of our choice for the terrazzo pieces to create our own bespoke pieces followed by casting the trays. I learned a huge amount and really enjoyed the process. I’m delighted with my tray – and it’s all thanks to Laura’s expertise. A hugely enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Thank you Laura for such a memorable workshop! I hope to join for another one.

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
Laura was great. She spent time explaining the whole process. Which was so helpful as there is more to the process than I thought. Laura was so helpful and attentive that it made making something for the first time so enjoyable. We were able to have free reign over our design and all left with something completely individual and a tray that we were all so pleased with. It was so enjoyable and will definitely be attending another session.
Thank you so much Laura xx
