Bamboo and organic cotton turtleneck

Our bamboo and organic turtleneck top has split sides with a tapered front and back for a very flattering yet comfortable fit. The long-line silhouette with the turtleneck detail is minimalist and makes a statement. This top is super easy to wear with the rest of your wardrobe. You can roll the sleeves up or down and it is perfect for autumn-spring.

We hand make each top in our workshop in Nottingham, England. Each item is made-to-order, minimising fabric wastage.

This top is awesome paired with our organic cotton denim jacket. 

MATERIAL

We make our turtleneck top from fabric containing 46% Bamboo, 46% Organic Cotton and 8% Elastane.

This fabric is super soft, with a beautiful stretch and a liquid-like drape. Bamboo is lightweight, breathable and insulating. Moreover, bamboo fabric naturally wicks moisture away from the skin.

SUSTAINABLE

Bamboo is a fast-growing plant and does not need artificial fertilisers, pesticides or large quantities of water. Likewise, farmers grow organic cotton using rain water and do not rely on artificial fertilisers or pesticides. Moreover, both bamboo and organic cotton are biodegradable.

Our bamboo and organic cotton fabric comes from a textile company, called Kadeks, based in Izmir, Turkey. This company produces sustainable textiles and they care about supporting sustainable textile projects. Kadeks involve themselves in every step of the supply chain starting from cotton, to yarn, to fabric and to non-garment textile goods. They are also certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), meaning that: they meet the standards to be classified as ‘organic’; they do not use toxic substances or dyes during manufacturing; and they produce the fabric in a mill that enforces strict social and environmental standards, treating their employees and the earth with respect.

This fabric is made from OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified yarn as being free from harmful chemicals. In addition, the labels we use are made from recycled fabric that is also OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified. We also package our products in recycled paper and compostable mailbags.

WASH CARE

Machine wash at 30 degrees C. Drip dry and iron on medium heat. Do not bleach.

To waste less water, energy and to make your clothes last longer:

-wash at cooler temperatures;
-wash your clothes less often;
-and don’t tumble dry.
