Hand painted Hayley top in organic cotton

Our blue and white hand painted Hayley top in organic cotton is a two-in-one tie top and jacket. The hand painting is done by Suzie in our Nottingham shop/studio space and each top is completely unique. As part of our Sky Collection, this top embodies our values of comfort, statement and versatility. The dynamic painting technique is a result of Suzie’s creative process and her experimentation with techniques that help her manage chronic back pain.

The Hayley top has a bow tie at the front, gathering all the way around the body and short sleeves. It can be easily layered with other items or worn on its own. We make our Hayley top in a hand painted 100% organic cotton fabric, with a soft finish and drape.

Suzie hand makes each top in our workshop in Nottingham, England. Each item is made-to-order, minimising fabric wastage.

SUSTAINABLE

Organic cotton is more sustainable than regular cotton because the process is based on long-term thinking. Organic cotton farming does not use synthetic insecticides, fungicides or fertilisers. Healthy soil is instead maintained through crop rotation. This prevents the loss of nutrients into water bodies and avoids both water pollution and the need for artificial fertilisers. Organic cotton farming also uses significantly less water than ordinary cotton, whereby farmers rely mainly on rainwater. Find out more about organic farming at the Textile Exchange!

The labels we use are made from recycled fabric that is OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified. We also package the product in recycled paper and ship using reusable and compostable mailbags.

WASH CARE

Hand or machine washed at 30 degrees C. Drip dry and iron on medium/high heat with steam. Do not bleach or tumble dry.

To waste less water, energy and to make your clothes last longer:

-wash at cooler temperatures;
-wash your clothes less often;
-and don’t tumble dry.
