Zero waste patchwork denim jacket

This zero waste patchwork denim jacket is made from organic cotton fabric remnants. To make it, we carefully cut fabric remnants into squares or rectangles and sewed them into my designed layout using the traditional Korean technique, called bojagi. A lot of time and love went into this piece and there is only one of them! The size is a medium but it will fit a variety of sizes- if you have trouble with fit, we will of course allow returns!

The duster coat sits perfectly in a capsule wardrobe. The oversized kimono style makes it easy to wear over anything and as everyday or occasion-wear. The fabric is good quality and has a little stretch. It will also get softer as you wash it. It is large enough to go over layers but can also fit under overcoats.

SUSTAINABLE

We make our denim jacket from organic cotton. Organic cotton is more sustainable that regular cotton because the process is based on long-term thinking. Organic cotton farming does not use synthetic insecticides, fungicides, herbicides or fertilisers. Healthy soil is maintained through crop rotation, preventing the loss of nutrients into water bodies, both preventing water pollution and the need for artificial fertilisers. Organic cotton farming also uses significantly less water than ordinary cotton, whereby farmers rely mainly on rainwater. Find out more about organic farming at the Textile Exchange!

The labels we use are made from recycled fabric that is OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified. We also package the product in recycled paper and ship in reusable and compostable mailbags.

WASH CARE

You can machine wash our denim kimono jacket at 30 degrees C. Drip dry and iron on medium heat. Do not bleach.

To waste less water, energy and to make your clothes last longer, wash at cooler temperatures, wash your clothes less often and don’t tumble dry.

The size is a medium but it will fit a variety of sizes- if you have trouble with fit, I will of course allow returns!
