Zero waste linen bag

Our zero linen waste bag is a vibrant and sustainable tote bag made from European 100% linen fabric. We created it from our fabric scraps using the traditional Korean patch-working technique, called bojagi. We carefully cut the fabric scraps into squares and rectangles and then designed their layout before stitching them into place. The statement colour combinations of the tote bag were inspired by Mark Rothko’s beautiful piece called ‘Red and Pink on Pink’.

We make the zero waste bag from European 100% linen fabric.

SUSTAINABLE

Linen is sustainable for a number of reasons. Not only is it durable and so long-lasting, but it is also biodegradable. Additionally, linen comes from the plant, flax. Growing flax is sustainable because it can grow in poor quality soil, it takes less water than standard cotton and uses significantly fewer pesticides. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation state that flax uses 13 times less pesticides than potatoes. Moreover, every part of the flax plant can be used for various products. This reduces waste and increasing profits for farmers.

This European linen is also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning that it is completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use.

The labels we use are made from recycled fabric that is also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. We package our products with recycled tissue paper and ship using reusable and compostable mailbags.

WASH CARE

Machine wash at 30 degrees C. Drip dry and iron on medium heat. Do not bleach. To waste less water, energy and to make your clothes last longer, wash on cold, wash less often and don’t tumble dry.
